Born in Bluffton to Carl and Melba (Moore) Goodwin, Dave is a 1969 graduate of Bluffton High School and a 1980 graduate of Mid-American College of Mortuary Science.
On November 15, 1980, Dave married Shirley (Burnell) and they have three children together, Nicole (Brooks) Morgan of Bluffton, Cassie Goodwin of Bluffton, and Aaron Goodwin, who is resides in West Palm Beach, FL. Along with their three children, Dave and Shirley have six grandchildren; Jackson, Pierceton, Alannah, Madeliene, Tinnley & Brier.

Dave is a member of the First Reformed Church of Bluffton, where he has served as Deacon, Elder, and  Treasurer of the Trustees. Presently he serves on the Board of Directors of Bi-County Services and is active in the administration of the Bluffton T-Ball League. He was a past member of the Bluffton Park Board, 19 year member of the Bluffton Volunteer Fire Dept.  He holds memberships in the Bluffton Lodge # 145 of F. & A.M., Indiana Funeral Director's Association, Indiana Independent Funeral Director's Association, and is also a charter member of the Funeral Ethics Association. He has served Wells County as their Coroner for 8 years and Deputy for 8 more years. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing and wood working.

Douglas L. Cale

Born in Blackford County to Joe and Sue Cale, Doug moved to Wells County in 1970.  He is a 1987 graduate of Bluffton High School and a 1992 graduate of Mid-America College of Mortuary Science.

Following graduation of mortuary school, Doug served his apprenticeship with Klaehn, Fahl, & Melton Funeral Homes in Fort Wayne and obtained his Funeral Director's License in Spring of 1993.  Doug then joined the Goodwin staff in 1996, where he has been since.

Doug married Shannan J. (Shoemaker) in 1990.  He was elected coroner of Wells County for two consecutive terms, from 2000 through 2008.  He currently is serving as the Wells County Deputy Coroner.

Doug and his wife Shannan attend the Living Water United Church.  He is a member of the Indiana Funeral Director's Association, Bluffton Optimist's Club, Indiana State Coroner's Association, PI SIGMA ETA National Mortician's Fraternity, & Michigan Snowmobile Association.  Doug also serves as the Vice President of the Wells County Health Advisory Board.

In his spare time, Doug enjoys touring on his Goldwing motorcycle with his wife and snowmobiling in the U.P. of Michigan.

Mitch Harnish

A lifelong resident of Wells County, Mitch is the oldest son of Ron and Lee Ann Harnish of Bluffton. He is a 2004 graduate of Norwell High School, where he was a member of the National Honor Society, while participating in football, basketball, and baseball.

Graduating from Manchester University in 2008, Mitch received a bachelor's degree in Business Management, along with a minor in Non-profit Organization. While at MU, he was a four year letter winner and two year captain of the football team. In 2009 he graduated from Ivy Tech Community College with a degree in Mortuary Science and now is a licensed funeral director and co-owner with Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel. Mitch has been with the funeral home since 2002.

Mitch currently serves as president of the Bluffton Rotary Club, serves on the board of directors for the Wells County Foundation, Family Centered Services, and is involved with the Wells County Leadership Academy.

In 2008 Mitch married his high school sweetheart, Breana (Bayouth), and they currently reside in Bluffton and attend Hope Missionary Church. Breana is a registered nurse with Bluffton Regional Medical Center and they have three children, Austin (age 3) and newborn twins, Claire and Cooper.

In his spare time, Mitch enjoys spending time with his family and friends, exercising, and being involved with local youth sports organizations.

John Dickason

Born and raised in Wells County, John Dickason is a 1962 graduate of Chester Center High School.  He is married to Sue (Kammer) for 46 years and they have three children, Tonya (Rich) Brown, Curt Dickason, and Erin Meyer.  They also have 6 grandchildren; Jeremy, Daniele, Cassie, Jake, Madison, and Samantha, along with one great-granddaughter; Olivia Jo.

John is a Past Master of the Bluffton Masonic Lodge 145, a member of the Bluffton Optimist Club, a member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Fort Wayne, and is also a member of the Mizpah Shriners of Fort Wayne.

Brenda Taylor

Brenda is a Bluffton native and a 1982 graduate of Norwell High School.  In 1983 she married her high school sweetheart, Rod Taylor, and they still reside in the rural Bluffton area. Rod and Brenda have two children; a daughter Amy (Forrest) Feuer (children Olivia and Owen), and a son, Derek Taylor.

Brenda’s past work experience includes working at Caylor Nickel Business Office for five years, the office of Dr. David Willitts, DDS for three years, General Insurance Agency for five years, and most recently had been with Life Community Church for ten years.

Brenda joined the Goodwin – Cale & Harnish staff in February of 2013.

Brenda, along with her husband Rod, attends Hope Missionary Church in Bluffton and in her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and genealogy.
